Gmail now supports viewing PDF attachments in the browser

Saw about it on the official Gmail blog.

Here is the post:

Fast PDF viewing right in your browser.

The Gmail team seems to be on a roll - they're bringing out new features fairly often these days .... good stuff :)

I like many of their Gmail Labs features. The forgotten attachment feature is another useful one.

And speaking of fast PDF, a plug from me: if you haven't already, try out my xtopdf toolkit for fast and easy PDF creation - from text, DBF, CSV, TDV and XLS input formats :)

All you need as prerequisites are:

- Python (version 2.2 or higher)

and

- the open source version of the ReportLab toolkit

Then install xtopdf as per this guide.
