Innovative ergonomics software for video monitors - f.lux

By Vasudev Ram

f.lux is an innovative piece of software, methinks. It allows you to adjust your display based on day or night light levels. It has the option to do it automatically (the default), but you can also tweak the day vs. night settings manually. I use it on my PC.

A couple of other interesting points about it:

- the creator of f.lux is Michael Herf, who also created Picasa which was acquired by Google.

- apart from manually tweaking the lighting settings, you can also change the auto-detected latitude and longitude settings in f.lux of your location; this might make f.lux work better for you.
