Blackberry Playbook may rival iPad

By Vasudev Ram

I had recently blogged about the Blackberry Playbook - a tablet, mentioning that I had previously tried out (though on my desktop PC) the blazingly fast QNX OS that powers the Playbook. The QNX OS was earlier acquired by Research in Motion (RIM), makers of the Blackberry product range. Just now read some reviews of the Playbook that look interesting:

On the GSMArena blog: BlackBerry Playbook announced – the dual-core tablet to rule them all

On Gizmodo: The BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet: 10 Things You Need to Know

On Engadget: BlackBerry PlayBook preview

From TechRadar at CES 2011: Hands on: BlackBerry Playbook review

An interesting point is that the touch interface extends to the somewhat wide bezel on all four sides of the screen, - and touching or swiping those sides, triggers different context-based actions for each side, depending on the apps running. Another point of note: the reviews say the multitasking is very good, even with video running.
