Google's Internet Bus project - India

By Vasudev Ram

I read about this via one of the Google Twitter accounts that I blogged and tweeted about recently:

Google's Internet Bus project

Excerpt from the Google Internet Bus page:

[ The Internet Bus Project is an attempt to educate people about what the Internet is, and how it may be beneficial to their lives, by taking the Internet experience to them through a customised Internet-enabled bus, which will travel to several towns and cities across India. ]

I really like the idea of the Internet Bus; it seems like a very nice project with worthwhile goals. Dear Google, please consider replicating this project across other countries that could benefit from it.

On a personal note, not having had Internet access from the start of my education and career, and only getting it some time later, although it was available in other areas like the USA and Europe, and knowing how much all of us benefit from the Internet, makes me appreciate this Internet Bus project by Google all the more.
