Google is offering free web hosting (for the first year), a free domain name, and free tools to build (3 pages?) of a web site, to small businesses, first in the UK, Canada and Australia (according to reports) and now in the state of Vermont, USA. (They may roll it out to other places later too.) The web site building tool is offered by Intuit, it seems. A free local business listing on Google Places is also offered. Sounds like a good deal overall, since reports say that at least 50% of small business do not have a web presence. Of course, the businesses should check what the terms will be after the first year.
