The purpose of the Offline Wiki is to download almost the entire English Wikipedia onto your computer for offline viewing without Internet access.
WARNING: When I went to this page in Google Chrome, it seemed to be about to automatically run some code - which Chrome gave me the option to disable, which I did, since the message said it would download a large amount of data onto my PC. So use with caution.
It will download over 1GB of data, the site says, so check that you have enough disk space before trying it.
