Infosys Cloud Ecosystem Hub launched

By Vasudev Ram

Infosys Technologies, where I worked earlier, has launched the Infosys Cloud Ecosystem Hub, "the first unified enterprise gateway to a hybrid cloud environment", reports the Sacramento Bee (via PR Newswire).

Official Infosys announcement about the Cloud Hub, with a video.

Infosys had announced a few years ago that they would be focusing a lot on cloud computing. This seems to be one of the results of that focus, apart from the usual consulting / development services, of course. CA, Dell, Hitachi, Microsoft and VMWare are partners, says the report.

Here is another news article about it, from ZDNet.

Excerpts:

[ The product ... will let companies buy, deploy and manage cloud services across multiple environments.
...
The Hub's brokerage service allows users to compare products from over 30 companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, VMWare and Oracle, on metrics such as quality of service and compliance with particular regulations.
...
Organisations can look at the performance of their entire ecosystem, from their private cloud to multiple public clouds, on a single dashboard, in terms of how do they perform, are they adhering to their SLAs, ... on a real-time basis. ]

If you want to check it out, here is a short and easy to remember URL for the Infosys Cloud Hub: infosys.com/cloud/hub. RESTful, hey? :)
