Just saw this. May be know already to many.
If you have an email message open in your Gmail, you can bookmark the URL that shows in your browser's address bar. Then later, if you are logged in to Gmail, but without that message open, if you open another browser tab / window and paste that URL into the address bar, Gmail will open that message for you in the new tab / window. Just tried it and it worked. In other words, Gmail seems to create a unique URL for any email in your inbox, which you can save and open later.
Can be a useful way to retrieve important emails for viewing / answering.
