I think he has definitely got a few valid points, maybe more.
IIRC, this is the guy who created an uproar by a controversial article about IT some years ago.
At that time, I only read a few reviews of the article, not the article itself, either because I didn't have access to it (it may have been a book), or was busy. Maybe I should go read the actual article ...
