Intel's Thunderbolt, new fast data transfer technique

Intel is releasing a new high speed data transfer technology called Thunderbolt.



Apparently it was developed together with Apple, and Apple may be the first company to implement it. It was code-named LightPeak.

Another potential benefit cited for Thunderbolt is that it may help reduce the tangled mess of cables around your PC. I know I can use that, and I don't even have many devices or peripherals attached to my PC :)
